Mental Health Resources!

Mental Health is so important to me. I've collected a list of information that has helped me in the past. I hope it can help you or someone you know. It's normal to need help. We all do. Do you think I could run this whole little shop all by myself? I have a support system, and I want the exact same for you. I know how it feels to be alone. I want you to know, that you are so, so far from being alone. Don't believe everything you think. Click some of these links, and find the support you need. ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’– Good Luck my beautiful friend. ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–

Cascadia Mental Health Centerย I checked myself into this place once. They were amazing, and so kind. You can honestly just walk in and say "I don't feel...good...right now." And they will hand you a clipboard and say don't worry someone will be with you shortly. They have an amazing resource center in the back. They'll even help you with things like making phone calls, or opening mail. Sometimes that stuff is really hard, I get it.ย

ZOOMCAREย The medical staff at the zoomcare offices I've visited have been very accommodating and kind. They have free clinic nights that anyone can partake in, whether they have insurance or not.ย

Outside Inย A little dodgy, but they do have a needle exchange program here that will at least keep you safe on the streets. They also have access to rehabilitation services, and houseless help.ย

Wise Counsel & Comfortย My very first therapy appointment was with a woman who worked for this organization. They operate on a sliding scale, so it remains affordable to everyone. It's a great step in the direction to healing.ย

SAMHSAย (Substance Abuse, and Mental Health Services Administration) Whew! A mouthful, but also a great site PACKED with information and resources. Use this link I've connected, becasue it was bringing up some weird "Drupal" thing when I was trying to go to their home page. It's NATIONAL btw.ย

Psychology Todayย Here is aย direct link to a search for Portland therapists. You can use this to search for any city in the US.ย

Undestructableย ย This is my friend's organization for victims of domestic abuse. She's incredible and their organization is amazing.ย

Pacific Universityย ย This is a great place to begin your healing journey. They are senior year students of a Psychology university practicing with tenured professionals. They are able to write prescriptions, and provide primary care if needed. I will say however, that once the student graduates, they are no longer meant to contact you. It can be a bit jarring for those of us with abandonment issues. But as a way to get assessed for things and get started on your journey to peace, I think this is a great first step.ย

That's all I have for now, but please feel free to add more in the comments! If there are comments allowed? I'm not sure, this is my first blog. But either way, be well my beautiful friend. ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿฆ–
